Countdown To Olympics; Third World Rooting For Rio

The entire World of Sports will be descending down to Brazil on August 5, 2016. The International Olympic Committee has many questions to answer. One of them being, will Rio be able to conduct 31st Olympiad without any safety issues from 5th to 21st August? Rio has to prove that even a developing country can be a venue to host such big events.

Indian contestants have some real good chances in getting an Olympic 2016 podium- Saina and Sindhu for badminton, the famous trio in Archery- Deepika, Lakshmi Majhi, and Bombayla Devi and even Anirban Lahiri for golf. India’s chance to win some medals is expected this year as there is an extensive list of participants who are capable enough.

‘With the largest ever Indian contingent’ flying to Rio, people in India is expecting miraculous results. India is hoping for a gold medal just the way Abhinav broke the imprecation in Beinjing! In case, Rio fails to conduct this great event, it will to be a failure for the countries of third world as well. It will portray that the developing countries cannot host mega events like Olympics. Also, it will be a huge setback for the Olympic movement.

Whereas, if Rio is successful in conducting this grand sports event, doors for a fantastic future will open to many such countries, and one of them can be the Indian subcontinent.
