For South Australia High Point Category, Increased Requirements

As there is high demand, the South Australia  immigration would be raising the requirement for high point category from 80 points to 85 points . This particular change would still allow an avenue to applicant to score high point.

This policy would come into effect starting from 22 September 2015, all high point applications would be submitted from this date and  would require to meet new requirement.

All individuals who have scored 85 points in the SkillSelect would be able to access additional occupations.

They are also required to be aware of the conditions of provisional 489 visa, should the individuals require 10 points for state nomination in order to achieve 85 points on the DIBP test,

Till date, there have been individual occupation quotas for the high point nomination and marketing specialist is the only occupation which has been closed off for high point nomination.

There also exists overall quota for high point category. Once this has been reached, the high point category would be closed for the remaining program year.

On supplementary skilled list, occupation may have few barriers for immediate eligibility for employment. The applicants need to research employment opportunities thoroughly. It is their responsibility to determine whether their occupation does require further training or it requires registration, residency, licensing or other requirement before they can work in South Australia.
