An Independent Scotland would need 24,000 people additionally every year in order to meet the economic goals of the country.
Scotland’s First Minister, Alex Salmond, confirmed the exact number on the scale of net immigration, which is difference between the number of people preferring to reside in the country and the number of people leaving the country. This number would help to improve tax revenues and manage expenses of the public till 2030.

Alex Salmond said this number of 24,000 was just 2000 higher in comparison to the yearly average of net immigration from 2001 to 2011 and expressed that it is practically easy to achieve.
