Manitoba Set To Revive Province Nominee Program On 30 April 2015

Canadian Province Manitoba is all set to accept applications for its skilled worker program entitled as the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) again from 30 April 2015.

MPNP is all set to incorporate new process enhancements through new Express Entry system, which was outlined in January 2015 by Canadian Government to fast-track the application process of skilled professionals.

Manitoba’s skilled worker program has listing under the Express Entry system. The province has introduced a new sub-class stream to nominate MPNP applicants in order to consider them under Express Entry system. However, the total number of applicants nominated is subjected to a cap.

During the first phase of the scheme applicants who met the eligibility criteria were contacted directly by the MPNP and these applicants were nominated through new MPNP Express Entry sub-stream.

The MPNP will contact only those who:

• Hold an open application with a prevailing MPNP file number in the skilled worker category recorded in their list
• Can satisfy the requirements of any of the three federal economic immigration programs listed under the Express Entry as per the evaluation of the MPNP Immigration Officer

All the selected applicants must:

• Submit Educational Credentials Assessment along with the proof demonstrating they hold adequate funds to meet higher federal requirements
• Furnish a proof of Express Entry profile by providing their ID, as well as Job seeker validation codes with the MPNP

While filing their permanent residence application under Express Entry, nominated applicants must submit a proof stating that they satisfy federal criteria. Additionally, the MPNP also has plans to launch a fast-track process for nomination under the Federal Express Entry system.
