New Canadian Visa Fee Structure For Indians Effective 9th Dec, 2013

Effective 9^th December, 2013, the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is going forward with the revised Fee structure for Indians. The new fee structure is applicable to all Temporary Resident Visas to Canada including Visit Visas, Work Permits, Study Permits and Returning Canadian Permanent Residents.

The visa fee is payable in cash with the currency being Indian Rupee or by bank draft in favor of ‘Canadian High Commission’, or ‘Receiver General for Canada’ (which can be in INR or CAD) payable at New Delhi.

Mentioned below are the new fees for Temporary Resident Visas (TRV):

Visitor Visas to Canada:

1. For a single entry visitor visa to Canada, including the super visa applicable for parents and grandparents, CIC is charging INR 4,450;
2. For a multiple entry visit visa to Canada, including the parents and grandparents super visa, CIC is charging INR 8,850; and
3. There is also a Family Rate for either single or multiple entry where all the members of a family must apply at the same place and same time. This Family Rate is applicable to the principal applicant as well as a common-law partner or spouse and their legally adopted or biological children under the age of 22 and CIC charges INR 23,600 for this.

Canadian Work Permit:

1. For a Canadian Work Permit, CIC is charging INR 8,850; and
2. A Canadian Work Permit for a Group of 3 or more Performing Artists will be charged a maximum of INR 26,550

Other than the Visitor Visa, Super Visa and Work Permit, there are a few other Visas that are undergoing the Fees revision which are mentioned here:

1. Study Permits will cost INR 7,400;
2. The Return to Canada Travel Document for returning Canadian Permanent Residents will cost INR 2,950; and
3. If you have a valid TRV in an expired passport, there is an option of obtaining a Replacement Visa in a newly-issued passport and this Replacement Visa will cost INR 1,800.

Except in the case of group applications (entertainment groups or a family applying at the same place and time) all the Fees mentioned above are per applicant, including children.

Please note that once paid, visa fees and other charges, are non-refundable even in the case of withdrawal or refusal of the application.
