The Department said that the preamble of online booking appointments would be emphasized with an intention of its start in the initial quarter of 2015.
During the past few days, over 3,500 individuals signed an online request urging an online appointment system to be set up for immigration visas.
Elif Dibek, petition’s founder, said that an online appointment scheme tool must be integrated into the re-entry visa system.
She added that the initial consultation on an Immigration Residency and Protection Bill was made over a decade and till now; there is no change in sight.
At present, people are queuing all night from 8 pm to 8 am the next morning for the re-entry applications.
Ms Dibek added that the petition for online booking appointments has made by her after personally observing the queue of hundreds of individuals to get a visa.
