Ediola Pashollari, Secretary-General of WAY (World Assembly of Youth) said that all the governments in the world need to open their doors wide for high-skilled youth to migrate out of or into a country in search of better living.
She said that the migration will benefit both the youth and the government by providing a better standard of living for the youth and highly-skilled workers for the country.
Pashollari insisted that by placing a simple yet effective immigration process and removing the foreign discrimination barriers like skin color, the government needs to make it easier for high-skilled youngsters to migrate.
She appealed to the citizens of the world to not look at youth-migration as a negative thing. On the sidelines of the 13th Melaka International Youth Dialogue, Pashollari told Bernama that not to keep the youngsters in a country if they cannot provide them with a better living opportunity.
The theme of this year’s dialogue was ‘Youth Migration: A Step From Heaven’ and the 3-day event was organized by WAY. It was attended by around 100 participants from 10 countries including the United States, South Africa, Brunei and Singapore.
When asked about the nations’ loss if high-skilled youngsters are to emigrate elsewhere, Pashollari said that the nation needs to provide a better standard of living and better opportunities if they want to hold their high-skilled youth in their own country.
