As per the official figures, the number of UK work visas announced in the 2018 year was the biggest since 2009. There has been a rise in demand from companies with a Sponsor Licence of Tier 2. This has been largely connected to a 7% increase in Tier 2 visas given to skilled workers, of which 55% were announced to Indian nationals.
Home Office numbers show that in the year 2018 till Sept 2018, the-EU nationals number announced with a UK work-related visa grew by 5% correlated to the prior year, totaling 171,679.
Currently, the Office for National Statistics (O.N.S) published a report revealing that non-EU net levels of migration were the biggest since 2004, with 248,000 higher non-EU citizens coming in the UK than leaving. While Net EU migration numbers unveil that 74,000 higher EU citizens arrived in the UK than left. However, this was announced to be the weakest level since 2014.
Despite a rise in the Tier 2 visas issued in the year to Sept 2018, lesser registration cards and registration certification were announced to E.E.A nationals in the 12 months to Sept, revealing a 29% decline overall. Meantime, there was a 46% drop in the registration certificates number announced to EU nationals.
Meantime, UK citizenship appeals were higher by 8%, with appeals made by EU nationals increased by 32%. This is associated with those qualified for citizenship of the UK, who are appealing ahead of residency rule changes.
However, statistics issued by the O.N.S earlier in Nov, revealing that the EU citizens number working in the UK has declined by 132,000 in the 03 months to Sept. It represents the most significant decline since records started in 1997.
A white paper currently issued by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (R.E.C), recommends that the UK public sector faces up to 07 years of skills deficits.
Tom Hadley, Director of R.E.C, announced: R.E.C numbers show that applicants availability is decreasing month on month, and 75% of companies have limited or no capacity to take on further work without recruiting more staff.
