Study Reveals, UK Leading Destination For Migrants

As per the new study it reveals that  Britain is one of the most attractive Countries in the world for migrants and foreigners are more likely to get jobs in United Kingdom than British workers .

Britain ranks high for business creation, employment, school performance and university education in the new global league table of prospects for migrants.

An organization has published a report about Economic co-operation and Development, the employment rate for the male workers from the overseas has now overtaken that of British natives.

David Cameron. Prime minister of Britain, has been criticized for not been successful in getting the net migration down below 100,000 eventhough it was his manifesto pledge, which he made five years ago.

The statistics have revealed that last year, about 318,000 more people have opted to move to Britain than have left,  a ten year high.

 The OECD has published new report and in the report it has stated that UK is presently one of the leading destinations in the world, especially foreigner who come in search to start a bright new life.

It shows that the proportion of the immigrants with degrees has doubled in just 6 years to nearly a half, the report reveals. And it also states, that the children of the poor migrants are far more likely to flourish in a British school than they would in other EU nations such as Germany or France.

The report has drawn from thousands of datasets in 34 nation club, it also  states that the UK  presently has the highest rates of migrants who have started their own businesses in the world. It also reveals that how migrants have been the first to be laid off in a downturn, but have weathered the downturn far better than their counterparts.  Men who are born overseas are more likely to get work than those born in UK.

During 2006 and 2012, the employment rate for the foreign born men fell slightly fell from 78% to 77.8% as the economy contracted. And at the same period, employment rate for men born in the UK fell much more sharply from 79.4 % to 76.7 %.

The OECD figures also confirm this and it shows a dramatic jump for graduates who are highly qualified and settling in Britain.

The report also states that, 48% of the Migrants have degrees when compared to 25% in 2006, a figure that remains to be an EU average.

Only Luxembourg, a tiny state is highly dependent on immigration,  and Australia, Canada and New Zealand which have strict, point based immigration laws have a higher rate.

The data also suggest that the children belonging not so well to do migrants are more likely to succeed at school in Britain than they would in other nations.

Working class children who were born in Britain and their parents were migrants  and they have outperform their native counterparts  by nearing to 19 points.  Immigrants are also more likely to start a business in Britain, with 16 % of them become self employed. Of countries having a significant immigrant population, only Canada has a higher rate.

In US, the figure is just 11% despite its proud history of immigrant Entrepreneurs to the title as the land of opportunity. Migrants are likely to run their own firm than native Britons

The immigrants are more likely to find work in the public sector. Nearing to 37% of migrant work for the government of Britain, a rate only beaten by Sweden and Denmark, traditionally big state countries. The figure is more likely to be distorted by high levels of employment in the NHS.

The Critics of the present immigration system state that the finding strengthened the case for the reform.

Peter Bone, the Tory MP for Wellingborough have stated that the good life chances are offered to migrants show that Mr Cameron’s welfare reform will do little inorder to cut the overall number.
