The Canadian Government is now allowing the new test results as proof of language proficiency for French-speaking economic immigration applicants appealing for permanent residence.
The Test de Connaissance du français pour le Canada (T.C.F Canada) is controlled by the French government-run CIEP (Centre international d’études pédagogiques) to examine ability in French and will be accessible at authorized test centers in Canada and higher than 150 countries.
The C.I.E.P states the TCF Canada was planned to correspond with the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) identified French language standards, the Niveaux de compétence Linguistique canadiens (N.C.L.C).
Applicants for programs of economic immigration including those operated by the system of Express Entry
need to prove a satisfactory level of proficiency in either French or English to be qualified for Canada immigration, where both accept as official languages.
For example, applicants for the FSWC who are deserving French as their primary language have to show a proficiency that is similar to N.C.L.C level 7. The TCF Canada is presently the 2nd French language test that’s approved by I.R.C.C. The other approved option continues the Test d’évaluation de français (T.E.F Canada).
It means that I.R.C.C will honor the results of either the T.C.F Canada or the T.E.F Canada. The tests accepted for English language ability are the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or the CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program).
The Canadian Government and Ontario province have started some measures to boost francophone immigration and support French-speaking communities in Canada that is outside Quebec province.
Ontario’s Express Entry associated Skilled Worker Stream of French-Speaking is one of the most active immigration pathways to Canada for francophone business immigration applicants and has announced 1,383 invitations to be qualified Express Entry applicants this year.
