Dear Mohammed,

Certainly, you should travel to Australia before the visa entry date, so that you can use it for full term (5 Years).
If you are already a migrant of Australia; then you can stay here and finish all your pending works and can go back later. Since, you have already made one trip before the entry date; your visa will be valid for return till the final date.

You have to make a trip to Australia ahead of the expiry of the first entry date sequentially to activate the visa for its full time which, generally, is a full term of 5 years (the date is on the visa label. Migrant visa holders are not necessary to migrate (i.e. stay permanently) to Australia before the expiry of the first entry date on their visas. Provided you have made no less than one trip to Australia ahead of the initial entry date your visa is then legitimate for return travel until the final termination date.

There are exceptions to this common rule. For instance, Spouse - Provisional visas (subclass 309) and Prospective Spouse visas (subclass 300) together have first entry dates but neither is legal for a full term of 5 years. Business skills visas also cover definite conditions close to them.

Does The Visa Application Cover My Spouse And Children?

If you are the main candidate, the visa application can contain your family. If this is the case, only you require assuring the main condition. The family unit can comprise of husband/wife, dependent kids and other dependants such as old parents. Dependent children are generally below the age of 18, however older children can still be measured as dependent if you show them to be completely and considerably dependent on your financial, food, shelter and other maintenance and confirm that they are needier on you than on any other person.
