Study Permit is valid up to Your Study Program. If you want to extend your study permit you should file an application to change the conditions of study permit to immigration canada

 Currently reside in a country that I am not a resident of. Where must I apply for a study permit and/or temporary resident visa; in my country of nationality or my country of residence?

Suppose, if my children are Canadian resident, however if been to outside Canada for several years. How can I find out what position my child will go into when we go back to Canada? Does she/he require to apply as an international student?
