As per the global research, Australia is a place for expats who always lookout for fun and leisure activities in their free time and also great family life.
We find Australia has outperformed other nations in the leisure options category of the latest quality of life index that is published by InterNations.
Around 95% of the expats in the nation have appreciated the leisure activities, and 59% have rated facilities offered, to be good. Also, around 92% stated that they enjoyed both weather and climate.
The nations also have scored highly with regards to travel opportunity. Travel infrastructure is also rated positively around 67% by the expats. , which is slightly higher than the global average of 66%.
The Vast majority of the respondents have rated political stability, peacefulness and personal safety favorably at 85%, 90%, and 94%.
About 6 participants of the survey have stated that they are satisfied with their life abroad in Australia, general terms.
Australia is also rated high in terms of feeling welcome with the country ranking 10 out of 64 globally. Around 81% have found that it is relatively easy to get used to the new culture, and around 72% have felt at home.
79% have confirmed that they have a friendly attitude of the local population towards the foreign residents.
In general, making new friends was not considered difficult by 63% of the expats and 51% have stated that they have found making local friends easy and 81% have found learning the local language easy.
Both children health, as well as safety in Australia, were rated favorably by 100% of expat parents and 96% have confirmed that their kids are generally well, and not a single individual have rated their family life negatively.
Additionally, 97% have favored the leisure activities for kids and nearing to 2% were generally unhappy with the local attitude towards families having children, putting Australia as top nation for family and wellbeing.
Enjoying expat life in Australia does come at a price with the nation. Around 55% of the survey participants have considered life to be expensive and 26% have said their household disposable income is not enough to get by.
Even though Australia has been ranked 15th in the work abroad section, 64% have found their career prospects appealing. Additionally, we find 59% have rated their job security positively and 80% of the overall approved, state of the Australian economy.
In the category of work life balance, Australia has ranked 10th and 71% have said that they were content with their working hours, which is not surprising considering they are significantly lower when compared to global average at 42.3 compared to 44.9 hours each week for those working full time. On a whole, around 68% have stated they were generally satisfied with their work-life balance in Australia..
