IRCC Issuing Invitations For Canadian Parents And Grandparents Program
26 Apr 2019
The Canadian Government has started to announce invitations to interested sponsors to appeal to the Parents and Grandparents Program. Below the program, Citizens and permanent residents of Canada above the age of 18 can sponsor their grandparents or parents for PR in Canada.
The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is announcing invitations in the corresponding order that it obtained Interest to Sponsor forms while the submission period conducted on Jan 28. The first set of invitations were sent on Apr 24, 2019, and according to I.R.C.C, it will take some days to send invitations to all possible sponsors.
The invitations will be mailed to the email ID given in the form of Interest to Sponsor. I.R.C.C has notified the sponsors to check their junk or spam mail folder also, as there is a probability that the invitations may go to that folder.
The sponsors who get an invitation can present the whole sponsorship application in less than 60 days from the invitation date. The I.R.C.C’s target is to allow 20000 full applications to its Parents and Grandparents Program for the year 2019. I.R.C.C may conduct further invitations rounds if necessary to reach this target.
