Canada Introduced New Pilot Program To Grant Open Work Permits For Spouses

A new pilot program has been launched by the Canadian government that grants open work permits to eligible spouses and common-law partners of Canadian permanent residents and citizens under the Spouses or Common-Law Partners in Canada class (SCLPC).

For Canada permanent immigration, applicants who make inland applicants may now grant with open work permits in prior to the “approval in principle” decision.

Supporters of pilot program praise it for reducing the requirement for those looking for immigration advantages to pick between two evils i.e. one coming to accompany spouse in Canada conversely not permitted to work in Canada and the employee actualities of being jobless with inadequate status or waiting till the final consent in prior to immigrating to Canada, where the individuals continues to work but, physically separated from their spouses and family members for probably extended periods of time.

The latest Canada open work permit enables overseas individuals to work for any employer in Canada for a certain period of time when their permanent residence applications are processed.

The Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration (CIC) has declared that it would start granting open work permits to qualified SCLPC applicants who have previously submitted permanent residence applications. Those applicants would be capable to apply for open work permits for Canada through online. For those individuals who submit application after 22 December 2014 must complete both open work permit application and the permanent residence applications concurrently.
