Overview

German national visa or type D visa allows to live, work and study in Germany. The visa allows foreign nationals to stay in the country for more than 90 days.

Documents Required

1. Valid passport (The passport should have been issued within the last 10 years and with at least 12 months validity after the scheduled return)
2. Employment contract with a company in Germany or transfer order from Indian employer confirming the same
3. Personal covering letter explaining the exact purpose and duration of stay
4. Proof of education qualification
5. Proof of employment experience certificates
6. Travel medical insurance

Note: Personal visa interview is a must for applicants at their German embassy. The German embassies in India are at New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata & Mumbai

Visa Fee & Processing Time

Visa fee for adults is 60 Euros and for minors between age group of 0 to 17 years, it is 30 Euros.

Visa processing time is usually between 8 to 12 weeks.
