Unauthorized US Immigrants A Reality

It would be interesting to know that about 11.5 million foreigners are actually living in the Unites States without any proper documents related to immigration. These facts were revealed by the Homeland Security department of the United States. It is understood that in 2010 the figures were about 11.6, indicating that there was not much difference between 2010 and 2011.

The percentage of change in number of unauthorized immigrants has not shown much increase since 2007, despite high unemployment rate in the US employment, better improved conditions in Mexico, low number of unauthorized immigrants in the US borders and increase in border enforcements.

Mexicans form the largest undocumented immigration amounting to about 59%. After Mexicans, the next to follow by about 14% are from the three Central American countries i.e. 6% from El Salvador, 5% from Guatemala and 3% from Honduras. Philippines, China, India, South Korea as well as Vietnam amount to about 2% respectively to unauthorized immigrants.

Unauthorized citizens all foreign born who are non -citizens and are not permitted to stay in the US, in other words are not legal citizens.

Unauthorized immigrants have either entered due to lack of proper inspection were allowed to enter on a temporary stay and have continued to stay behind the stipulated time.
