Canada conducted a current Express Entry draw on Mar 6, announcing 3,350 invitations to apply for Canadian PR to applicants with scores of Comprehensive Ranking System as less as 454.
The Canadian Government has now announced 17,850 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) this year by the Express Entry system — an addition of 6,350 over the 11,500 ITAs that had been announced by this same time in 2018.
Last year eventually noticed Canada announced a record number of 89,800 ITAs, a breakthrough for the Canadian government and it is assumed to exceed in this year as it was given greater admissions targets for the Express Entry-directed Federal Skilled Trades Class, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Worker Class in the categories of economic immigration.
Applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria for these categories are allowed into the pool of Express Entry where they announced a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score granted for factors such as their education, age, work experience and knowledge in English or French.
IRCC invites a fixed number of the highest-scoring applicants to apply for Canada PR through normal draws from the pool.
Current Draw cut-off score of CRS is 454, and it was a drop of three points over the least score of 457 in the early invitation round conducted on Feb 20.
The cut-off score attained 457 after a delay of 03 weeks within invitation rounds, and today’s drop to 454 is likely due to the event only 02 weeks gap between draws.
IRCC implemented its tie-break rule in the draw held on Mar 6. The date and time used were Feb 11, 2019, at 17:21 UTC. It implies that all applicants with a C.R.S score over 454, as well as those applicants with scores of 454 who provided their profile in the pool of Express Entry before the chosen date and time, got an ITA in this round of invitation.
Express Entry applicants nominated for Canadian PR by a Canadian territory or province get an extra 600 points toward their CRS score, effectively guaranteeing an ITA in the following Express Entry Draw.
The prior two weeks have seen draws in the province of British Columbia, Manitoba, and Prince Edward Island that mainly aimed Express Entry applicants.
To be considered for a nomination by one of these provinces, Express Entry applicants must register a different Expression of Interest profile with the British Columbia PNP, Manitoba PNP, and the Prince Edward Island PNP.
