Canada Immigration issued 3,600 Invitations to apply for permanent residence in the Express Entry category and reached the total of 59,800 candidates in the draw held on September 4.
Canadian immigration - Marching towards the target
The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score in the invitation round was 463, registering the increase of six points in comparison to the previous draw of August 20. Additionally, the system of Express Entry is the main source to attract qualified foreign workers in Canada. It supervises the profiles of candidates in three Federal Skilled immigration programs of:
All Eligible candidates enter the Express Entry pool and also obtain a rank depending on the CRS score that is arrived on the basis of education, work experience, age, and proficiency in French or English factors. A specific number of candidates with the top rank receive the invitation to apply towards permanent residence in regular draws held in the pool.
The target and Canadian immigration
This was the 17th draw of 2019 and IRCC is on the path to issue a record number of ITAs, surpassing the achievement of 89,800 in last year. Furthermore, Canada has a higher target of admissions in 2019 and also in 2020.
On the same day as today, IRCC had issued 54,700 ITAs and so it is ahead by 5,100 in 2019.
Additionally the Fluctuation recorded in the CRS scores this year is attributed to the gap of time between two draws. When the time between two draws is more it allows replenishing the pool with candidates of a higher score that raises the CRS score.
On the contrary when the time is less few candidates enter their profile, which lowers the cut-off score.
Using the Tie break mechanism
Also there was a tie break mechanism in this draw set at August 23, 2019, with the time of 13:33:34 UTC. Thus all candidates having the CRS scores of and above 463, having entered the profile in the Express Entry pool before the specific is date and time, were able to receive the ITA.
Candidates that have a score below the score of Express Entry have a diversity of options to increase their point total, and the provincial nomination suits them most. After obtaining the provincial nomination there is an addition of 600 points in CRS that serve as the guarantee to get an ITA for permanent residence in Canada.
After August 20, many provincial nomination streams aligned with Express Entry like in Nova Scotia, Alberta, and British Columbia have invited candidates. Furthermore these streams have held 170 draws in 2019 that is ten folds more than the 17 draws of Express Entry in the year.
Good scenario for Candidates
Candidates having advanced English language proficiency or married, and holding a bachelor’s degree or with French language proficiency entering the Express Entry pool, have a bright chance to obtain the ITA. IRCC has held three draws in a month and PNPs are active presenting a bright scenario for the candidates to pursue immigration.
