The Canadian federal government invited 3,600 Express Entry aspirants to apply for PR in a new draw that took place on November 13. The current draw takes the complete number of invitations to apply (I.T.As) announced so far in this year by the Canadian Express Entry system to 75,300.
The minimum needed Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in the current draw was 472. It is a three-point drop from the preceding draw, which was held on October 30 and had a cut-off CRS score of 475.
The Express Entry manages the candidates' pool for the three Federal Skilled economic immigration classes
Suitable candidates are placed in the Express Entry pool based on a score granted under the CRS, which gives points for parameters such as the age of the applicant, educational level, skilled work experience and skill in the language of French or English.
An employment offer is not needed to be qualified for an Express Entry I.T.A, though extra points are given if a candidate has an employment offer from Canadian Employer.
A planned number of the candidates who are ranked in the top are invited to apply for Canada PR by periodic draws from the Canada Express Entry pool, which regularly take place every 2 weeks.
The 3,600 ITAs announced in the current draw bring Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to within 14,500 ITAs of equaling 2018’s ITAs record of 89,800 with 6 weeks left in the present year.
It was anticipated that IRCC could beat its 2018 ITA record in 2019 as it is given with higher admissions targets for the 3 Express Entry operated economic immigration classes and Canadian Provincial Nominee Programs for both 2019 & 2020.
The 3,600 ITAs resulted in today's draw put I.R.C.C 1,100 ahead of last year’s record-setting speed as of 13 November 2019.
The fact the least score declined in today’s draw may be connected to I.R.C.C keeping a two-week interval within this current invitation round and its former Express Entry draw which held on October 30.
The tie-break rule applied in the 13 Nov 2019 draw was 8 Oct 2019, at 10:46:01 UTC. That implies that all applicants with a C.R.S score equal to and above 472 achieved an ITA, whose profiles in the Express Entry were produced before the tie-break time and date.
