140th Express Entry Draw: Issued 3232 Invitations To Apply For Canada PR

Canadian Government has published the details of the present Express Entry draw, invited 3,232 applicants to apply for Canada PR. Invitations to apply for Canadian PR were announced to Canadian Experience Class program applicants with Comprehensive Ranking Scores (C.R.S) score 467 in the latest Express Entry draw that conducted on 23 March 2020.

This program-specific draw was the 2nd since 2015 to specifically aim applicants in the Canadian Experience Class, which is accessible to immigrant nationals with a minimum of work experience in Canada, along with other criteria.

The Canadian Experience Class is one of the 3 Federal High Skilled immigration classes maintained by the Canadian Express Entry system. The other two classes are the Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Federal Skilled Worker Class. The broad majority of the Federal Express Entry draws include applicants from all 3 classes but this specific draw was one of the rare exemptions to this rule.

The former Express Entry draw conducted on 18 March 2020 only included applicants that had provincial nominations and announced 668 invitations to apply (I.T.As). Given Canadian higher admission goals for its 3 Federal Highly Skilled immigration classes in 2020 and 2021, it is predicted that Immigration, Refugees Citizenship Canada (I.R.C.C) will hold more regular and bigger draws in the near future.

Unlike all-program rounds of invitation, draw from the total Express Entry pool and direct to result in greater cut-off C.R.S scores, niche draws for a particular cohort like Canadian Experience Class applicants can bring lower cut-off C.R.S scores as they aim a smaller number of candidates in the pool.

This denotes that all Canadian Experience Class applicants with a C.R.S score over 467 and equal to 467 who entered their profile in the pool of Canadian Express Entry before this time stamp, got an Invitation to Apply (I.T.A) for Canada PR. This draw takes the entire number of ITAs declared so far in 2020 through the Canadian Express Entry system to 22,600.
