Two days, two Federal Express Entry draws. 16 Apr 2020 draw provided 3,782 invitations to apply to immigration applicants and their members of the family to apply for Canadian PR.
Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canada PR were issued to candidates in the program of Canadian Experience Class (CEC) with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of 455 points score on 16 April 2020.
This is the 4th draw to aim exclusively candidates in the CEC program in the history of Federal Express Entry. It is probable that Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) aimed CEC applicants because they are most possible to be now in Canada, given the modern restrictions put in place due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
Canada has now announced 30,400 Invitations so far in 2020. A sum of 85,300 invitations was issued by the Federal Express Entry in 2019.
Below its 2020-2022 Plan of Immigration Levels, the Canadian Government is aiming for the admission of 341,000 newcomers in 2020, 351,000 newcomers in 2021, and another 361,000 newcomers in 2022. PNP admissions are considered to rise by 20% by the year 2022.
The most recent draw witnessed the tie-breaking rule performed on 20 January 2020, at 15:20:02 UTC. This intends that all applicants with a CRS of 455 points score and above who presented their profile prior to this date & time earned an ITA in this round of invitation.
This was the 11th invitation round below Federal Express Entry in 2020 and the overall invitation round number was 144.
The extensive majority of Federal Express Entry draws involve applicants from all 3 classes and this draw was one of the rare exclusions to this rule.
Given Canadian greater admission goals for its 3 Federal highly skilled immigration programs in 2020 & 2021, it is anticipated that IRCC will operate more frequent and larger draws in the following weeks and months.
The current draw cut-off CRS score was 455 points which were 12 points lesser than the cut-off CRS score in the last CEC Federal Express Entry draw, which was 467 points.
