Canada has just attended a latest Federal Express Entry draw, inviting 341 immigration applicants with provincial nominations.
This is the 7th draw from the Canadian Express Entry system aiming Provincial Nominee (PNP) Program receivers since specific coronavirus measures put in place on 18 March 2020. Canada has been fluctuating between holding Express Entry draws aiming applicants with a provincial nomination and applicants in the Canadian Experience (CEC) Class.
PNP applicants in the pool of Federal Express Entry are awarded an additional 600 C.R.S points on top of their fundamental human capital score. This is why the minimum required Comprehensive Ranking (C.R.S) System score was 743 points to get Invitations to Apply (ITA) in this program-specific draw. Without the extra points from the nomination of the province, invited aspirants would have had a CRS score of 143 points.
PNPs have been running actively over the last few weeks, with rounds of invitation taking place in most of the Canadian provinces. United, the provinces have announced higher than 2000 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR since the commencement of May.
June is forming up to be another active month for PNPs, with some important developments anticipated from different provinces. In modern days Manitoba, Ontario, and B.C provinces have already conducted PNP draws.
Not like PNP draw, the draws that focusing CEC applicants typically have a much lesser CRS cut-off score. The last CEC specific draw invited applicants with a C.R.S score of 440 and above, the lowest score for these applicants since January 2019.
A rule of the tie-break was employed in this draw. All applicants with a C.R.S score of 743 points and above who presented their profile before 14 April 2020, at 13:25:51 UTC, got an invitation to apply in this invitation round.
Dates of the planned draws have also become highly unexpected. Beginning in 2020, all-program draws that incorporated the Federal Skilled Worker (F.S.W.P) Program; the Federal Skilled Trades (F.S.T.P) Program, and the Canadian Experience Class applicants, occurred for every couple of weeks. Now that Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship (IRCC) Canada is managing targeted draws, that may occur within days or hours apart.
As of now that is till 10 June 2020 a sum of 42,441 primary applicants have been invited to apply for Canadian PR in the year 2020.
