9 Out 10 Indians Get UK Visa Approved Says UK Embassy

The non-Settlement Visas to Indian National visiting Britain have now  been breached the 90% mark, as per the UK visas and immigration regional director  Nick Crouch. In an exclusive interview to the media, he had said that 9 out of 10 Indian nationals who apply for the UK are getting one.

The rising number of visas issued to the Indian by the UK clearly shows the increasing bond between two nations.

In the year ending June 2013 were issued 387,943 non-settlement to Indian national at issue rate of 89%. This does include 309,956 visit visas. In the year ending June 2014, we have issued 39,2748 non-settlement visas to Indian nationals at an issue rate of 91%. This included 309,448 visit visas. In the year ending June 2015, we have issued 442,644 non-settlement visas at an issue rate of 91%.  This included 355,686 visit visas.

India was the first nation where the same day super priority visa was introduced.  It does cost about £600 on top of the cost of the visa.

In the year 2013, this particular service was launched, the Super Priority visas has been issued and the number that display in the first six months of this year, about 68% up from the same period when compared to previous year.   The highest numbers of SPV were issued in Chennai followed by India’s capital city Delhi and Mumbai.

During the year 2013 to 2015, nearing to 39818 Tier 4 Student visas were issued. While the numbers has been decreased, the refusal rates have also gone down, reflecting t he fact that we are attracting better quality student to study at UK universities. In the year ending June 2014, the issue rate was about 75% while in the year ending June 2015 it was 88%.

UK visas & immigration is always seeking ways to improve the visa services, and it is regularly taking feedback from the sectors such as business as well as tourism. This year they have opened the new standalone Premium Lounge in Gurgaon in response to the feedback from business stakeholders and would continue to look for a new location to open the visa application centres.

The visa rejection rate is less, and nine out 10 Indian nationals who apply for UK visa do get one.  Yes for general visit visa for the year ending June 2015, issued 180,107 up by 15% when compared to previous year. No caps exist for student numbers, and while there is a limit on work visas this is done by total numbers and it is nationality specific.
