Accounting Occupation Not Excluded From Australian Skilled Occupations List 2015

The government of Australia has refused reports, which states that accounting has been removed from the Australian immigration skilled occupations list 2015.

The internationals students of accounting were worried by incorrect reports stating that the accounting profession had been removed from the Australian skilled occupation list, panicked that they might be discarded from the immigrating to Australia and getting jobs over there. 

Conversely, a spokesperson of assistant               minister for immigration and border protection, Michaela Cash, has said that the final decision of skilled occupations list will be made after getting advice.

The top accounting organizations Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand as well as Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Australia have been intense to maintain accounting on the list of Australian skilled occupations.

Sources said that any decision regarding the removal of accounting profession from the skilled occupation list affects the figure of overseas students, who represents a large portion in accounting courses.

International students choose to study in Australia with an intention to take back their skills to home, with a hope to migrate to Australia again in order to finds the jobs.

An accounting lecturer Amanda White in University of Technology said that the leading accounting bodies had claimed that there is a scarcity of skilled accountants in the country and thus, the country needs skilled accountants.

The major bodies CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand have urged amendments to the Australia skilled immigration program.

Spokesperson for Senator Cash said that the report stating that the removal of accountant profession from the Skilled Occupation List is untrue. And there exist no such plans of removing accounting from the Skilled Occupation List atheist for the 2015 program year.
