Alberta PNP: Conduct Two Draws In April, Issues 320 ITAs For Canada PR

Two Alberta PNP draws have taken place so far in April 2020, inviting a sum of 320 Express Entry applicants to apply for an Alberta provincial nomination for Canada PR. The Alberta's Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) newly published the details of the Alberta PNP draws that held on 1 April 2020 and 14 April 2020.

Two Provincial Draws of Alberta Express Entry Stream

The initial Alberta's Express Entry Stream draw in April invited 120 applicants to apply for an Alberta provincial nomination. Applicants did not require to have an employment offer to be invited, however, they did require to have their profiles in the federal Express Entry system.

Express Entry applicants also required to have a Comprehensive Ranking System score of a minimum of 381 points. These points are estimated based on the applicants' human capital factors like age, education, official language ability, and work experience.

The CRS demand fell to 353 points for the 14 April 2020 draw, where 200 Express Entry applicants were invited to apply for an Alberta provincial nomination for Canadian PR.

If these applicants get the provincial nomination they will receive a further 600 CRS points toward their cumulative CRS score, which will dramatically guarantee with an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian PR in a following federal Express Entry draw.

Alberta Express Entry Stream Eligibility Requirements

Express Entry applicants need to have relevant work experience in a profession that encourages Alberta’s “economic growth and diversification preferences” in order to be qualified for an invitation to apply by the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

The PNP of Alberta does not give a list of eligible professions. While it is not mandatory to have a job offer in order to be suitable for this stream.

So far in 2020 Alberta PNP has issued 1,207 invitations to apply to Express Entry applicants. In 2019, a sum of 6,884 invitations was issued by the Alberta's Express Entry Stream. Alberta province’s provincial nomination allotments for 2020 have not yet been announced.
