As the D-Day is coming close when Mr. Trump entering into the White House taking in charge as the President of the USA, many immigrants in the USA are keeping their fingers crossed as what could be the next possible decision of Trump as the President. Before taking the responsibilities as the President, Trump has send in shivers to the H1-B visa holders in his recent announcement.
Everyone is aware that anti immigration is the major stand which made Trump to win the US President’s chair, now he is standing to the word he chanted during his election campaign. In an apparent reference to the current hot-button case against Disney World, Trump told in Iowa rally, “We will fight to protect every last American life. During the campaign, I also spent time with the American worker who were laid off and forced to train. Foreign workers were brought in to replace them. We won’t let this happen anymore.” One can expect huge changes in H1-B visa in coming days, Trump can reduce the cap on H1-B visas or raise the fees or auction them, he can also come up stating huge wages have to be paid to the H1-B holders, which would make Americans more competitive.
When Trump is on spree of bringing down the immigration, countries like Australia and Canada are welcoming the skilled immigrants. This can be noticed by the new immigration announcement made by both the countries stating increase in intake of foreign skilled labor. Australia and Canada immigration have also relaxed the rules and decreased the processing time to lure more skilled immigrants to their country.
