Applications Open For Chevening Awards 2017-2018

Applications have been invited for the UK’s Chevening scholarship and fellowship program for the year 2017-2018. Chevening is United Kingdom’s prestigious international awards scheme which aims to encourage budding global leaders. The fully funded program provides an opportunity to grow professionally, academically, understand U.K.’s culture and strengthen the relationship with the United Kingdom.

The scholarships are given under two categories - Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships. These programs are entirely funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and associate organizations.  The  receipients are chosen by British Embassies and High Commissions.

The Chevening India program offers 65 fully paid scholarships and fellowships each every year. The exceptional Indian graduates with two years of work experience are allowed to study at any accredited U.K. University for a year. This scholarship program supports applicants financially giving them an opportunity to become a part of a Chevening’s global network.

These programs help mid-to-senior level professionals to expand their horizons in their field of study. The customized study programs are short term courses with duration of 8-12 weeks at a designated UK university.

Indian applicants can opt to study any  course of his/her interest but the applications from the field of energy security, urban development, security, foreign policy, climate change, trade and investment, economic reforms and research and innovation are given preference..
