Asian Countries Contribute Majorly To Rise In US Immigration

14 Jul 2014

Immigration News

U.S Census Bureau statistics has revealed a rise in US immigration, majorly constituted by Asian nations. Immigrants from India, Philippines, China and Myanmar have constituted a major share.

Ethnic Asians in America increased at a quick pace in the nation in 2012 and have exceeded Latinos. Over 60 percent of the growth was in view of international immigration.

Among the people who have acquired Green Cards, Indians constituted 6.9 percent while Chinese accounted for 7.2 percent.

Significant reason for the migration rise is due to demand for highly qualified professionals in U.S. In 2012, approximately 64 percent of those who came to U.S on H-1B visa were Indians.

Filipinos and Indians have followed China, which represents the major ethnic group.
