Hong Kong's Lam Tsuen Wishing Square will play host to a number of cultural events during the Hong Kong Well-Wishing Festival next month.
Hong Kong visitors will be able to take part in a number of cultural events and celebrations during the forthcoming Hong Kong Well-Wishing Festival.
Taking place at Lam Tsuen Wishing Square, the festival is designed to mark the lunar New Year and will run from January 23rd until February 6th 2012, with the support of the local Mega Events Fund.
During the celebration, attendees will be able to make their New Year wishes at the Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees and take part in a number of traditional activities to welcome in the year of the dragon.
These include throwing wishing-placards, sampling traditional Hakka region snacks at the local food carnival or taking part in the Wishing Lanterns Lighting Ceremony.
Other attractions include a fun fair, a free Chinese medicine service, a football tournament and much more.
The festival events run from 09:00 to 19:00 local time from Monday to Friday, concluding at the later time of 22:00 on weekends.
Visitors are advised that some of the events will require pre-registration, meaning they will need to plan their activities in advance.
