With the intention to make it easy for foreign travelers, the Department of Immigration and Border Protection in Australia has upgraded its technology to enable its customers to access visa online service round the clock from anywhere.
DIBP has introduced the ImmiAccount, which is one of the biggest online changes made last year. ImmiAccount helps applicants by evading the need to attend an office or contact the department for inquiries.
Noticeably, 1.5 million users got sign up, and immigration officials stated that the ImmiAccount saves applicants time and enables them to have a direct interaction with the department at their convenient time.
Reportedly, the DIBP website has some useful forms and important information on visa products in its store to help applicants. The online services will eliminate the need for you to wait in longer queues at an office, a DIBP spokesman stated.
In addition to this, other user-friendly as well as more streamlined online facilities include factsheets that provide required information for visa holders and applicants. And, there are also user-friendly apps to let people trace out the status of their applications online.
Apparently, customers will be able to check the study as well as work entitlements for different visa categories. They can also update their details online and can make use of the calculator on the website to find out the fee for a particular visa application.
According to the sources, ImmiAccount allows you submit the applications online in which attachments can be uploaded at any time, thus, minimizing the processing time for few visas.
Spokesmen stated that the online environment has been outlined to make the process effective and convenient for customers, and they are trying their level best to provide reliable services.
