Australia will announce a higher number of visas to international skilled workers who are willing to settle in the Australian regional areas. The government of Australia took this decision intending to ease the burden on Australian metro cities where the population is growing at a rate twice quicker related to other areas.
The announcement in this respect was delivered by Australian Prime Minister Morrison’s office. As per the announcement, the number of visas announced by the regional migration programs will be raised from 23000 to 25000. However, it is possible that the entire number of immigrants to be allowed to the nation would continue the same. Presently, the yearly Australian immigrant intake is 160000 individuals.
Australian PM Morrison made clear that this nation was in the path of expanding its regional areas. By promoting the regional area's growth, the Australian Federal government is aiming to achieve an active and effective economy for the nation.
