Australia Introduces Addtional Measures To Help Working Visa Holders

The government of Australia has recently announced additional measures in order to safeguard workers who are in vulnerable state, by offering extra information as well as resources to holders of visa so that, they can understand the rights at the workplace.

Michaelia cash, the Asst. immigration Minister added that it would be rolling out improvement to notices of visa grant across temporary  visas range, along with notices both to graduates temporary and to students to be updated next.

Australian govt has also introduced PACT (New Pay and Conditions Tool) with that worker with ease can check pay rates offered to them. Cash also added, that it would be for temporary visa holders, best defence against being paid less or for unfair treatment in the workplace in order to know more insights about their rights.

Cash said, each and every workers is entitled for similar conditions, pay and protection as per the Australian law, eventhough they may be visa holder permanent or visa holder temporary or they may be Australian citizens . The Australian govt has been committed in ensuring, programmes for temporary visa are not utilized  in order to exploit workers and not to undermine wages as well as conditions of Australians.

While we find every individual who is offered temporary visa does receive notice of visa grant from the DIBP (Department of immigration & Border protection) and at the same time they get improved information in notices issued so that holders of 457 visas and makers working holiday, understand fully their rights at work place which includes harassment, bullying, discrimination and wages.

Cash added that it matches the recent introduction of PACT, which on mobile devices is available, Its a coalition Govt initiative and actively she is also encouraging all who are working, to check their own pay by using this particular tool.

Lastly Cash said that these above measures would help in building important work which is already in process with  support of Taskforce Cadena and  relevant agencies are also working.

The Coalition govt is more functional when compared to a previous govt inorder to ensure worker exploitation is not only prevented but also committed to stamp out the treatment which is unscrupulous of the holders of temporary visa.
