Australia’s Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) is intending to provide detailed information to both commercial enterprises and overseas workers on the topics of skilled migration and employer-sponsored visas, in Bunbury. These sessions are information sessions which constitute an integral part of services provided to offer information, advice, guidance, etc. for employers and workers, alike, and are coordinated by the Department of Employment in Bunbury on May 8.
As a part of this program, the department’s Western Australian regional concerned officer will go to Bunbury to undertake information sessions on Australia’s skilled migration programme. Commercial enterprises can also avail of individual sessions which can be used by them to obtain answers, information, guidance and advice to their questions.
This exercise is being undertaken because some commercial enterprises in regional areas cannot easily find suitably skilled workers and look forward to hiring from abroad, according to a spokesperson of the department. According to the DIBP, its officers will offer the commercial enterprises in the regional areas a whole lot of information, both on temporary as well as on permanent visas, and also information about the concession that are available to regional commercial enterprises.
Thus, according to the DIBP, these kinds of visits undertaken by the officers of the department to the different regions in Australia help the regional employers gain a whole lot of information, including information about how to hire foreign workers through the visa programs and talk directly to the immigration officers, etc. As of now, in all, two sessions have been planned, one in the morning for businesses and the afternoon one for those who are seeking employment.
Specific information about which all agencies of the government are participating in the program, the schedule and venue details are all available on the official web site of the DIBP.
