Many speculations emerged post Brexit regarding UK Immigration, one among them was easy access for Australian’s to live and work in the United Kingdom. However UK Home Secretary Amber Rudd have put a stop to the gossip mongers stating that she does not have any plans to increase the UK’s intake for Australian migrants. As many were disappointed by her statement, she added more fuel saying she is also not considering the idea of a free moment zones for Britain’s and Aussies.
Ms. Rudd statements come as a blow for the Australian government which is in discussion with the British government to relax the visa rules for low paid migrants. Responding to Ms. Rudd’s statements Mr. Johnson along with Foreign Minister Julie Bishop stated “To my mind, I think it will be a fantastic thing if we had a more sensible system. This is something where I think we can make progress and I am confident that we will.”
Australia is still confident that they have prominent chances of securing easier way to work and live in UK, as they are looking forward for future trade deals between two countries once Britain exists European Union.
