Australian immigration department offers outreach sessions for people living in more rural regions of the country. Foreigners will be able to ask questions directly to an official from the immigration department later this month.
Sessions will be conducted by immigration department during their visit to Western Australia’s Port Hedland and Karratha areas between 30 August and 3 September. The sessions attended by representatives from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship will invite Australian visa holders and employers who take on Australian visa holders to ask any questions.
One spokesman for the department explained why the sessions are so important: "While the department has a great deal of information available over the phone or on the Internet, some people may not be aware of recent policy changes or they may prefer to speak to officers face-to-face and these visits meet those needs."
Australian work visa holders and employers will be able to take advantage of the sessions by making individual appointments to speak to an Australian immigration official in person.
