Australian Immigration officers will visit south west New South Wales to provide information about bridging visas to those who do not have valid paperwork and people who have stayed beyond their visa validity period.
Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) spokesperson said the CSRS (Community Status Resolution Service) program will reach the people in the regional communities, who are on a bridging visa or who do not have a valid Australian visa. The affected people can talk to the immigration officials regarding issues if they are facing any.
“The department is more concerned about ensuring the integrity of Australia’s visa and migration programs” said the spokesman.
People staying in Australia must a have a valid visa and it is a chance for people to get the valid visa status and make sure that they are not detected in a compliance action.
Illegal non-citizens will be detained pending their elimination from the country and can be prohibited from entering Australia for a three year period.
DIBP officials will not only provide required information but also help and assist the concerned individuals whereever necessary to provide them with short-term visas, and will sort out their immigration status, etc., said the immigration officials.
Appointment with the Community Status Resolution Service will be made available at Griffith Library, Banna Avenue, Griffith on 13th March from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
