Austria: A Country To Invest And Live In

The New York-based Reputation Institute asked 42,000 people in 50 countries to express their views on trust, reputation, admiration and positive image. On balance, Austria ranked ninth. Canada is the country with the best reputation in the world, followed by Sweden and Australia. The study sees a direct link between the reputation of a country on the one hand and foreign direct investment or tourism revenue on the other hand. The better the reputation of a country is, the more people want to spend their holidays there, or work and invest there, the Reputation Institute concludes.

Austria ranks among the top ten on many issues with respect to its international reputation:  

• I would recommend investing in Austria.
• Austria is a country one should live in.
• I would recommend working there. 
• One should study in Austria.
