Austria Is An E-Government Leader

Austria was rated second in the "E-Government Monitor 2011", prepared by the Initiative D21 and the Munich-based research institute Ipima for the second time. The analysis evaluates the use and acceptance of electronic citizen services. The proportion of users in Austria is 68 percent, only slightly behind Sweden, which placed first with 69 percent. The good performance of Austria is not surprising, the authors of the study concluded. This is due to the fact that the country has ranked among the leading e-Government nations for years. The satisfaction of domestic users is also impressive. According to the study, 95 percent of e-Government users are satisfied with the existing offering.
