BC Immigration: Latest Tech Pilot Draw Issues 91 Invitations To Apply

British Columbia Provincial Immigration has announced 91 invitations to apply for a British Columbia provincial nomination in a draw that took place on 21 April 2020.

The 21 April 2020 BC provincial draw was held below the Provincial Nominee Program of British Columbia (BC PNP)’s Tech Pilot. Immigration applicants with offers of employment in B.C.’s tech sector are invited to apply for a British Columbia provincial nomination for Canada PR by weekly draws.

Applicants selected in the 21 Apr 2020 BC provincial draw were from both Skilled Worker and Global Graduate sub-categories beneath the Skills Immigration B.C. and Express Entry B.C. streams. Invited applicants required a minimum of 85 points provincial score.

The Provincial Nominee Program of British Columbia practices a points-based system named the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). These points decide whether an applicant may be invited or may not be invited to apply in a selected invitation round. The provincial score is based on a number of human capital parameters like the level of education, years of direct skilled technical work experience, age, and having a job offer from an employer in B.C.

Applicants who earned an invitation to apply now have a maximum of 30 calendar days from the date of invitation received to submit a comprehensive application through the Online registration system of BC PNP. An invitation to apply does not ensure that applicants will be accepted for a BC provincial nomination.

In order to be viewed below the British Columbia PNP, most applicants need to have a permanent, full-time employment offer from an organization in the BC province.
