Britain To Expect Million More Overseas Workers By 2020

A three-quarter of overseas individuals will be employed in Britain by 2020 by making the largest share, the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) Chairman Robert Chote told the Treasury Select Committee. According to the new announcement, the count of working individuals is expected to surge by 1.1million to a record of 3.2million by the year end of 2020.

It approximately equates to 825,000 an increase in working immigrants count from now to 2020. Mark Garnier, Tory committee member accused the existing government of the nation of their confusion over the present immigration policy and their decision on welcoming of more than 800,000 overseas workers to meet their economic forecasts.

However, Donald Cameron has promised to remove the annual net migration to tens of thousands, said the sources. But, as per the office for national statistics, overall immigration of skilled overseas workers from across the globe will be more than 1.1million by 2019-20. Moreover, the population of the province is anticipated to surge by 2.3 million to over 67.4 million in the same period.

Knowing this, Chairman of OBR stated that there must also be a rise in jobs count as the more newcomers tend to be of working age. Furthermore, the experts claim that the immigrants will, in fact, grab the additional employment opportunities created by them. Thus, though this may please their Treasury and benefit the economy, it could make Britain a much-crowded region, said the sources. And the only solution to such problem is not to attract more number of overseas immigrants.
