Indian Visitors pay an immense amount for a two year or 6 months UK visa. or for six months. Keeping the current scenario in consideration Britain wants to extend the same to include India in a two- year visitor visa to Indians at an affordable prize. This, they think will help at a very low price so that it attracts Indian visitors to UK. This is to strengthen UK and Indian the bilateral ties.

The idea of improving UK visitor visa for Indians was prepared by the UK’s Royal Commonwealth Society which is being processed along with aviation tourism and industry groups. They have included the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

An expert has said, “We hope that the government will consider the very clear benefits of our recommendation, enhancing the already close affinity between two great Commonwealth nations.” Reports have shown that UK has a gradual decrease gone down with its share of global Indian tourists and the economy has halved over the last 10 years. France on the other hand has taken the advantage of attracting 500,000 visitors from the Indian subcontinent last year.

A similar opportunity was given to people visiting from China in 2015; hence the same was demanded for Indians. CII director general has said, “To optimize exchanges of people, business and ideas, it is important that both the UK and Indian governments discuss this promising proposal openly and collaboratively consider delivering it. The strength of the UK-India relationship today must also reflect in a stronger visa regime.”
