British Colombia Through Express Entry Will Accept 5800 Skilled Professionals

British Columbia one of the biggest province of Canada active in the Canada Express Entry, will take 5800 potential immigrants for the year 2016 through the point bases express entry scheme.

Initially, British Columbia planned to invite 5500 skilled immigrants, but later after the change in numbers, immigrants were increased by 300.

The B.C. provincial Government demanded the Federal Government increase the immigrant numbers who enter Canada through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

BCPNP is one of the largest provincial programs that surpass the Ontario and Alberta provincial nominee programs bringing qualified professionals to the country. British Columbia has also launched a separate online system Skilled Immigration Registration system; these scores will determine whether a candidate would be eligible for the BCPNP under Canada Express Entry Scheme.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program accepts the applicants through the expression of interest, few categories on first-come, first served.

But for the following streams, the candidates can apply directly through online for the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.

•     Express Entry B.C. – Health Care Professionals
•     Express Entry BC – International Post-Graduate
•     Skills Immigration – Health Care Professional
•     Skills Immigration – International Post-Graduate.

Federal Canada gives equal opportunity to the provincial governments to welcome skilled immigrants to meet the skill shortages. Except Quebec, all the provinces participate in the Federal skilled economic Immigration Program Canada Express Entry.

Quebec Immigration has special requirements as it is the area of French speaking minority community of Canada.
