Canada Announces First Round Of Express Entry Candidates List

The much awaited list of top-ranked candidates from the first round of Canada’s Express Entry system has been announced by the minister of Citizenship and Immigration (CIC), Chris Alexander. The selected list of candidates is already assisting to fill confirmed and demonstrable gaps in Canada’s labor market.

On 31 January 2015, around 779 skilled employees, including professionals in electrical and construction trades, industrial, natural as well as applied sciences, were invited to apply for Canada permanent residency. Each of the selected candidates stated that they already have a valid employment offer or provincial nomination.

Under Canada’s Express Entry system, skilled employees who would like to apply for Canada’s key economic immigration programs must create an online profile in order to express their interest to migrate to Canada permanently.

Individuals, who are placed into the Canada’s Express Entry pool and will be ranked, based on the various aspects such as language proficiency, work experience and education. Every individual is a top indicator of one’s probability of assimilating completely and swiftly into Canadian society and making a finest contribution to the country’s economy.

The government often invites highest ranking individuals from Express Entry pool to apply for Canada immigration. Most of the applications for immigration being processed within a period of six months, candidates will be able to contribute to Canada’s economy and job market more swiftly than ever before.

Canada’s Express Entry manages applications under three Canada immigration programs such as the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.

Territories and provinces also use Express Entry system to choose a portion of applicants for their Provincial Nominee Programs.

Once the applicants are invited for permanent residence, they need to submit an entire application as well as need to meet eligibility and admissibility prerequisites such as health and character requirements. Candidates will have a maximum of 60 days to submit their application through online.
