Canada British Columbia Invites 15 Entrepreneurs Candidates

Immigration Officials of British Columbia issued invitations to apply to 15 candidates in the recent draw for the Entrepreneur Immigration stream. The qualifying Candidates had to score 115 to qualify for an ITA using this draw, which happened on May 2, 2018.

In the previous Business draw held on March 21 2018, 11 candidates received invitations to apply and the minimum score was 113.

Selection norms in Entrepreneur Category

The Business candidates must meet these minimum criteria:

Have a personal net worth of $800,000;
Make an investment of $400 000 for establishing/purchasing or expanding a business in the province;
Create three jobs for local citizens or permanent residents;
Necessarily has to participate in the daily administration and direction of the business;
Signing an agreement to perform with the province before nomination;
Also the Candidates in this category have a right to sponsor a major staff member to seek the permanent residence in canada

Requirements of Regional Entrepreneurs

Business candidates in this category must meet the following minimum criteria:

Have a personal net worth of $400,000;
Make an investment of $200,000 for establishing/purchasing or expanding a business in the province which must be outside the limits of Vancouver and Abbotsford metropolitan areas;

Additionally, they have to create one job for local citizens or permanent residents;
Necessarily has to participate in the daily administration and direction of the business;
Signing an agreement to perform with the province before nomination;

Moreover, the recent general draw of the Provincial Program was held on May 2, 2018 where 205 candidates received invitations by using the Canada Express Entry and provincial programs. The minimum score which the Express Entry skilled workers, the international graduates, and the international graduates, had to score was 91 points. The score for the skilled workers was 86 points,. The score for the entry level and semi-skilled workers was just 60 points.

Getting a provincial nomination guarantees success in the EE System, as the candidates receive 600 CRS points.

The Provincial Program also publishes the scores which the immigrants need to get the invitation in its programs.

The score requirement for all overseas graduate is 30 points lower than the skilled worker both in the provincial stream and Express Entry categories.
