Canada FSWP To Have No Priority Occupations List

Canada’s skilled immigration program; Federal Skilled Worker Program which would be re-launched in May will have no priority occupations list.

The FSWP used to have a priority occupations list, but this would no longer be there when the program opens in May after 10 months of pause.

Few changes made to the FSWP by CIC to help immigrants settle in Canada easily are:

• Visa applicants need to obtain an ECA (Educational Credential Assessment). ECA has to be done by designated organizations only.
• English language proficiency
• Significant change to the preferred age
• Spouse’s education and language skills
