Canada Has Granted Record Number Of Visas For Trade Travel Industries

The Citizenship and Immigration Minister of Canada, Chris Alexander, made an announcement with regards to record number of visas issued in the first nine months of 2014 for travel and trade sectors.

The country has granted 272,608 visas for China, 117,927 visas for India, 59,863 visas for Mexico and 55,730 visas for Brazil. All these form a part in fueling the growth of economy and creating opportunities in the country.

These record numbers demonstrate the efforts made by the government to facilitate the trade and travel sectors. With the introduction of CAN+ and Express programs, now travelers, students, and business people will be able to easily enter the country.

Sources said that most visitors are opting for Multiple-Entry visas that allow them to reside in the country for a maximum period of six months within 10 years. Canada has granted around 89,000 multiple-entry visas to visitors last month.

Alexander said that creating jobs and enhancing the economy is the major concern of the government. To achieve this, the government is trying to facilitate trade and travel that in turn helps to develop the economy and maintain long-term prosperity as well.
