Canada: Immgration Minister Explains How And What Successful Migration Policies Look Like

During American Revolution in 1776, the black slaves took refuge in the Canada. On the onset of the   20th century, the Jews escaping from Russian pogroms came and settled there. It was during the second half of the century when Canada welcomed more than 100000 refugees from Laos, Cambodia,Vietnam and Syria.

Ahmed Hussen, the Canadian Minister of Immigration while speaking with the Business Insider stated "Canada is a homeland of migrants. We've always had migration as a key tool for economic and social growth of Canada and nation-building.There's an understanding in Canada that migration is a net-positive for our culture and we must endure to have a very healthy migration system which welcomes those who are in need of protection but also those that want to come and give us their skills and talents.”

In Canada, migrants often perceive a altered mentality. Over the past few years, many of the Syrian refugees who stayed up with the Canadian families - basically their adoptive custodians - came to see the sponsors as relatives.

Canada's federal government has a reason to be over friendly with the immigrants than the US, because of Canada’s low fertility rate and small population. The migrant population represents a huge immediate economic benefit to the country.
