Canada Stands 6th In OECD Survey

According to a survey by the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development, Canada was found to have some of the highest performing students in the world. The major testing areas were Mathematics, Sciences and reading skills and there were students from 70 countries like Singapore, China, Australia, Japan, Canada and more.

In performance, Canadian students ranked 6th. In particular, students from the province of Alberta showed the highest levels of reading literacy, ranking second in the world only to Shanghai, China.

The survey also found that regardless of the economic situation, Canadian students excelled in their studies. It has been found that the common thing among high performing schools is the ambitious standards set for the students, which can be more important than the monetary resources available to the schools.

As Canada continues to rank amongst the best education in the world, more students are choosing Canada as their preferred destination.
