Chris Alexander, Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration Minister, has welcomed initial two successful applicants within the category of Start-up Visa Program, which is intended to attract new entrepreneurs and generate jobs for Canadians.
Canadian venture capital funds, business incubators with foreign entrepreneurs and business angels are brought together through the Start-up Visa Program. Entrepreneurs can file their applications for permanent residence in Canada, if their business plan presented to the Canadian private sector companies gains support.
Using the Start-up Visa, Canada is directing at new kind of immigrant entrepreneurs, who have the capability to develop innovatory companies that that have the ability to generate new jobs for people of Canada.
Minister Alexander said that as part of their government attention on growth of the economy, creation of jobs and prosperity for long terms it is important for the nation to attract more entrepreneurs and pioneers across the globe.
Canadian government is proud to gladly receive the first two successful applicants of the Start-up Visa Program and wait eagerly for the success of their venture and other possibilities that would create more jobs for Canadians, the minister added.
